Tongariro to Wellington

Nothing really exciting about that trip, we just travelled the whole day and arrived in Wellington at around 3pm. Then we went to Mt Victoria, 196m high, for a lookout of the city and a group picture. In Wellington harbour some kind of gondola competition was going on that day.

One of the highlights in Wellington was Te Papa National Museum, with the Lord of the Rings exhibition : they were showing the making of the movie, with a lot of small videos on "how" they did the differents special effects. They were displaying all the costumes, equipments, and some of the models used for certain scenes in the movie as the Isengard Tower. Some wax or silicon models of the main characters were displayed, and it reinforced the atmosphere of this very special exhibition.
